It's been quite a year, to say the least.
I have been so busy with life, as we all have, but there is an underlying collective stress that the entire world is sharing. I feel it, most especially with the people I come into contact with every day.
After months of disruption, most of us have found a new normal. However, we've just adapted. Have we really taken care of our energies? Have we cleared the fear vibration out of our experience? And how do we prevent it from returning - or taking over?
I am a strong believer in the power of energy work. I, myself, have slipped into the passiveness of the fear energy that has encompassed our world this year. What I know, though, is that we all can feel better. Reiki isn't going to pad your bank account or pay your rent for you. But it can help soothe your weary soul from the worries of the world. It can help you feel fresh and aligned. It can help you cope with what life is dishing out to us all.
I know the last thing someone who's facing financial uncertainty wants to do is fork out money for anything that doesn't involve housing, food or utilities. So here are a couple of reminders for you that cost you nothing or next to nothing.
Meditate. This has been a life saver for me during this time! My "day job" is an essential service, so I have been working this entire time. Yes, I am so grateful for the paycheck, but it means I'm constantly in contact with people who are scared and angry. They're messy with their energy because they don't know what to do. Daily meditation has saved me from being sucked into the abyss of fear and anger that has taken over the lives of so many. I use Insight Timer's free app and there is a large catalog of guided meditations that are free.
Practice self care. Take baths, take naps, do whatever feels good to you during your down time. Baths are excellent tools for clearing your energy, as water is a purifier. If you can afford it, get a massage. Try aromatherapy with diffusers, or even just a couple drops of essential oil on a tissue or your pillowcase. The important element to this tip is to do what feels good to you. That may be different from day to day, but if it lights you up, it'll do you a world of good.
Eat well. Make sure your diet is contributing to your health and well-being. Load up on fruits and veggies and try to avoid foods that make you feel tired or heavy.
If you can afford Reiki or an energy reading, by all means, do it! We all need any support and love we can get.
With love, light and gratitude,
Jen
